Pawel Tomasz Wasilewski, also known as Paul Wesley, is an multi-award winning actor, producer and director famous for his work in the cult television show The Vampire Diaries. His work on the series has garnered him several honors, awards and nominations. This includes the Teen Choice Awards and the "Young Hollywood Awards". Wesley, who was born in New Brunswick New Jersey and raised within America, United States, showed interest in acting as a child during his high school years. Rutgers University was his next step. When he realized that his talents as an actor could be a great career, he chose to leave. He first appeared on The American TV show Another World. The CBS Network aired 'Wolf Lake just two years following his debut on TV. In the hit American TV series The Vampire Diaries he played the role of Stefan Salvatore. He has been directing episodes of the popular series. In the years following his debut as a film star in The Last Run, he played in numerous other films. Recent appearances include Mothers and Daughters and The Late Bloomer as a second actor. Additionally, he's famous through social media. There are more than thirteen million Instagram followers and 4.1 million Twitter followers.
